Derry McTaggart

Derry joined the group “Rugs on the Rocks” in the fall of 2005 after a summer trip to the East Coast and seeing what was possible. Since then, she has made 25+ mats - some large, some small, most of which she has given away to family and friends. Derry was inspired by the work of Deanne Fitzpatrick and appreciates the talents of Nova Scotia folk artists Maude Lewis and Joe Norris. The group has taught her many, many things, and she really enjoys their company.
